The Sanislo library is working to build a library and information technology program that supports literacy and critical thinking skills. The library is a learning hub in the Sanislo community, we enthusiastically welcome all students, staff, and families.
Volunteers in the Library
Sanislo is a community of enthusiastic readers, so that means we have many books going out and then coming back in. To help us keep books on the shelves for our readers, we could always use some help shelving.
During virtual learning Sanislo will be offering a curbside library every other Tuesday afternoon from 2-4pm. Students are welcome to check out up to ten books this year and may keep them the full two weeks until the next checkout date! Families are encouraged to put books on-hold using Destiny Discover which can be accessed through Clever on your student's district devices. Please email the librarian Miss Shipe (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Want to access more books? Thanks to the enormous effort of SPS and SPL librarians across the city, every student in Seattle Public Schools has their own public library account! This means your student can access incredible online tools like Libby and Hoopla! Watch this video to learn more about how to use it.
